Creates a stylish and effective alternative to tiling down to the surface of your worktops – an excellent finishing touch for solid wood worktop installations.

Our walnut upstands are designed to help the worktops blend into the overall design of the kitchen, as well as hiding the small 5mm expansion gap that should be left between a worktop and adjacent wall (necessary to accommodate the natural expansion and contraction of the timber).

Walnut kitchen upstands are recommended when installing solid wood worktops against uneven walls, as they will help conceal any small gaps that would otherwise be visible.

Each walnut kitchen worktop upstand is supplied with a square edge, and so can be fitted straight away to create an angular, chunky look. Alternatively, a variety of edge profiles can be applied to fit in with your chosen kitchen design.

Please note: This item should not be fitted directly behind a hob without additional protection. Please refer to the hob manufacturer’s guidelines to ensure that your installation complies with safety standards.

All of our solid wood upstands are pre-sanded and untreated as standard. We advise using Osmo Top Oil during the installation process to seal your wooden upstand. Should you wish to take advantage of our pre-oiling service, please contact our customer service team.

Product was supposed to be oiled, they didn’t seem to be so had to spend more money buying oil. Do not pay extra for oiled tops, not worth it!

All of our wooden worktops are delivered with square edges that are sanded to the same grit as the top surface. This is 120 grit for standard worktops and 180 grit for pre-oiled worktops. Our Two Person Home Delivery Service will deliver to a ground floor room of your choice with clear access on a day that’s convenient for you. Costs start from £29.50 for one worktop plus £15 for each additional worktop (charges capped at 3 worktops) – order before 12 noon for next-day delivery. If your items do not arrive as expected, please notify us within 2 calendar days of delivery so we can arrange repair or replacement. Should you change your mind once you have received your goods, please inform us within 14 calendar days of delivery – find out more on our returns information page.
