Worktop Customisation ServiceFor a stylish and effective alternative to tiling right down to the surface of your worktops; they also add a great finishing touch to solid wood worktop fittings.
These iroko worktop upstands help matching worktops to blend into the kitchen’s overall design, whilst also hiding the required small 5mm expansion gap between the worktop and wall (which is necessary to facilitate the natural expansion and contraction of the timber with changes in climate).
Iroko kitchen upstands are also recommended when installing wooden worktops against uneven walls, as they will cover any small gaps between the wall and worktop that would otherwise be visible.
Our iroko kitchen worktop upstands come with a square-edged finish to make fitting easy, whilst creating a chunky look, though alternatively they can be supplied with a variety of edge profiles applied to suit your kitchen’s design.
Please note: this item should not be fitted directly behind a hob without additional protection. Please refer to the hob manufacturer’s guidelines to ensure that your installation complies with safety standards.
All of our solid wood upstands are pre-sanded and untreated as standard. We advise using Osmo Top Oil during the installation process to seal your wooden upstand. Should you wish to take advantage of our pre-oiling service, please contact our customer service team.
